ydroxypropyl starch is an ether derivative obtained by chemical modification of starch, usually a white or off-white powdery solid, odorless and tasteless, with good fluidity. In terms of properties, it belongs to non-ionic starch ethers. The introduction of hydroxypropyl groups into the molecules gives it both the natural characteristics of starch and new functions. It has remarkable characteristics: soluble in cold water, capable of rapidly forming a uniform and viscous colloidal solution; low gelatinization temperature, with high transparency and strong stability of the paste, good freeze resistance and anti-aging performance; it can also maintain good performance in acid-base environments, and is widely used in food, medicine, textile, papermaking and other industries as thickeners, stabilizers, adhesives, etcTechnical Dada
